      <image:title>About - Joanna Seber, OTD, OTR/L.</image:title>
<image:caption>Core Values. Wild Child Thriving was born from the belief that each child brings into the world new life, new challenges, love with wild abandon, and an opportunity to thrive. After a decade of clinical practice, Joanna experienced firsthand the need for occupational therapy tailored to support new moms. Bringing her own babies to well-child visits, she experienced the reality of time constraints against wellness. There was always too little time to discuss the nitty gritty details of establishing healthy routines and reaching important developmental milestones. Joanna found a glaring lack of opportunity to discuss her own postpartum recovery with healthcare providers. Determined to change this experience for other women, Joanna synthesized her professional skills with her personal experience to create a boutique private practice. Experience and Credentials. Joanna’s professional journey began at the University of Illinois at Chicago, which is ranked as the top public university for occupational therapy in the United States. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree at UIC in 2009 and returned in 2019 to earn her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree, applying clinical expertise from her many years of practice. She has worked with infants, children, and their families in varied settings including private clinic, schools, and community settings. Joanna believes in the value of meaningful habits and routines to ground our mental health, especially in the beautiful chaos transitions. She believes in respect for each person’s unique nature and finds creative ways to connect the whole person with their natural environment. Joanna gets excited about designing wellness habits to fit seamlessly within your home routines to promote optimal growth for you and your baby. Joanna created and taught courses in pediatric practice at Lewis University and delivered guest lectures at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Joanna completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training. She has facilitated perinatal yoga workshops and series. She holds a deep appreciation for the power of yoga to support wellbeing. Joanna has presented at the American Occupational Therapy Association national conference and published in OT Practice Magazine and the American Journal of Occupational Therapy. She is committed to bringing the value of experience and research to her clients. Joanna is licensed to provide Occupational Therapy in California and Illinois. Any maternal or child wellness services conducted with clients in other states that require licensing for remote practice will not involve Occupational Therapy. Joanna will refer clients in those states to local direct Occupational Therapists if it becomes clear that a child requires that service.</image:caption>

<image:title>Reviews - “I am using everything Joanna shared and it has been so wonderful. Game changer! My baby is much happier and loving these changes too! Why doesn’t every mom know this is even an option? It should be common knowledge that you can go to an OT and get this kind of support.”</image:title>

<image:title>Reviews - “After several months of processing my daughter’s birth, I was finally ready to heal my body and get my breath back. I have been in a state of just ‘needing to function to take care of baby,’ but I know that to take care of her best, I need to work on myself as well. I turned to Joanna because she not only understands the body through her yoga teaching, but she’s an occupational therapist as well. This made me feel comfortable, knowing she would be able to address the mind and body connection and would be able to address the medical and emotional side of what I had been through. After working with Joanna I felt lighter, more calm and connected. My body was more mobile and relaxed; I glided through the rest of my day with ease. I was able to connect with my daughter even more deeply than before our session. Joanna's services are what every mom needs postpartum; I wish I had connected with her sooner. Joanna is a true expert, but unlike other healthcare providers, she really listens. Her calm is contagious!”</image:title>
